Qualifications

• 5+ years leading engineering teams with strong talent development
• 10+ years hands-on software engineering and cloud exp. (AWS)
• Experience building mature SRE and observability at scale
• Ownership of SLOs/SLAs and resilience engineering
• Data-driven approach to reliability and cloud efficiency
• Experience defining and tracking delivery metrics (DORA)
• Excellent written and verbal communication across teams
• Ability to work with teams distributed across the US
• Product owner experience for platform capabilities like observability
• Experience with highly available, 24x7 environments
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methods
• Familiarity with audits/compliance in regulated environments
• Experience with mature SRE governance in centralized setups

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers and managers to improve reliability and cloud platform engineering across a large cloud environment
• Drive observability, SRE, and efficiency initiatives with a hands-on leadership style
• Communicate effectively with business and technology leaders and cross-functional teams across the US
• Own roadmap, requirements, and priorities for platform capabilities (observability, tooling)
• Ensure 24x7 availability through resilience testing, chaos engineering, and performance tuning
