Job summary

Motive is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to head Core Infrastructure and Operations Engineering in San Francisco. You will own the cloud platform, drive infrastructure as a product, and guide multi-team efforts to achieve enterprise-grade reliability for mission-critical systems.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team across SRE, Operations, Data & AI Platform, and Database Engineering, partnering with product and engineering leaders to balance long-term architecture with immediate

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as an engineering leader, with cloud platform leadership at scale.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with ownership.
• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong domain knowledge in cloud infrastructure and observability.
• Experience with data and ML infrastructure and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the Core Infrastructure and Operations Engineering team.
• Define and drive multi-quarter platform initiatives to improve developer velocity and reliability.
• Partner with product and engineering to evolve the platform as a product.
• Tackle ambiguous, high-impact problems and translate into execution plans.
• Coordinate across teams on interdependent systems including internal platforms and cloud governance.
• Raise the bar on engineering quality and operational excellence.
