Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Director in Technology Services AI (CIO Domain) to lead AI-driven value creation engagements for PE-backed portfolio companies. You will own scope, workplans, client relationships, and outcomes end-to-end, translating complex IT programs into measurable business value.

You will partner with CIO organizations, oversee multi‑functional teams, and drive AI strategy, governance, and ERP/IT modernization with a focus on EBITDA improvement and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in IT strategy, enterprise architecture, IT operations, or technology transformation
• Hands-on operator or senior practitioner within CIO organizations
• Experience with private equity or PE-backed portfolio companies
• Proven ability to translate IT complexity into financial impact narratives

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement lifecycle and client ownership across CIO domain engagements
• Define AI strategy, diligence, and value creation workstreams
• Establish program governance, KPI frameworks, and value tracking
• Manage vendor relationships and implementation partners
• Mentor Senior Associates and contribute to methodology and accelerators
