Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Director to lead AI-driven value creation for CIO organizations within PE-backed portfolio companies. You will own scope, plans, client relationships, and financial outcomes end-to-end, drawing on hands-on CIO experience to guide transformations.

The role requires governance of AI deployments, vendor management, and driving AI-readiness across ERP/IT ops, reporting to the Technology Services practice and contributing to A&M's AI-enabled CIO initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in IT strategy, enterprise architecture, IT operations, or technology transformation with hands-on operator roles.
• Proven track record leading multi‑workstream IT transformation programs with measurable outcomes (cost reductions, EBITDA improvements).
• Experience within or alongside CIO organizations, managing IT programs, governance, and vendor relationships.
• Experience working with PE-backed portfolio companies and translating IT complexity into financial impact narratives.

Responsibilities

• Establish and champion the full engagement lifecycle with scoping, workplanning, and financial delivery against AI targets.
• Serve as primary point of contact for CIOs, IT leadership, and PE partners across holding periods.
• Lead cross‑functional engagement teams spanning enterprise architecture, infrastructure, security, data, and IT operations.
• Drive executive workshops and steerage committee presentations translating IT findings into financial narratives for PE audiences.
