Job summary

HP Inc. is seeking a Director to lead the Agentic AI Computing Foundation, overseeing the shared platform for executable agentic AI across HP PCs and edge devices.

You will own APIs, security, hardware interfaces, data access, and policy frameworks to ensure portability, reliability, and efficiency of agentic features across configurations. You will guide architecture, integration, and performance budgets with hardware partners, drive agile squads, and build a global AI engineering leadership

Qualifications

• 15+ years in systems, embedded, device-platform, or AI engineering.
• 7+ years leading teams and managing managers and senior architects.
• Production capabilities integrated into PCs or edge devices, with runtime reliability and hardware interfaces.
• Deep understanding of heterogeneous compute, memory hierarchy, power or thermal constraints.
• Strong systems architecture covering native software, concurrency, IPC, API compatibility, device services, secure lifecycle management.
• Experience enabling agentic or generative AI systems, including orchestration, tool permissions, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Platform architecture: define APIs and versioned contracts for reuse.
• Device integration: coordinate runtime, OS services, drivers, firmware, and hardware interfaces.
• Execution efficiency: guide inference and workload placement across CPU, GPU, NPU, and cloud resources.
• Security and control: enforce policy, trusted identity, and auditable actions.
• Engineering partnerships: collaborate with internal teams and external protocols via adapters and contracts.
• Continuous enablement: align Foundation engineers to agile squads and deliver reusable increments.
• Organization leadership: build global AI engineering leadership and manage platform investment.
