Job summary

Merrimack Valley YMCA is seeking a Director of Out of School Time to lead the after-school program, ensuring high-quality care and outcomes for youth. The role requires coordinating staff, volunteers, and families while aligning with YMCA safety, ADA, and licensing standards.

You will drive program development, monitor budgets, and partner with schools and community organizations to maximize impact and growth. A bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years related experience (supervisor/coordinator) preferred.
• Completion of required safety and child-care trainings within 30 days of hire.
• ADA compliance knowledge and inclusive practices.
• EEC Group Leader qualification required.
• Strong communication with families, staff and partners.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Out of School Time program including budget, facilities, activities and records.
• Ensure program quality and alignment with best practices and regulations.
• Recruit, hire and develop diverse staff and volunteers; manage schedules.
• Engage families, schools and community partners to maximize program impact.
• Maintain safety, risk management and compliance with ADA and licensing standards.
• Lead program development, evaluation and improvement efforts.
