Job summary

Amivie, LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health, and substance use recovery needs. DSPs help with daily living activities, skill-building, and community integration, ensuring dignity and person-centered care.

Responsibilities include following individualized plans, documenting in EHR, transporting clients as needed, and maintaining professional boundaries while advocating

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Must successfully complete all background checks.
• TB health screening required (may vary by state).

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with goal completion per the individualized support plan.
• Provide ADL assistance (bathing, grooming, meals) per needs.
• Safely transport individuals in company or personal vehicles.
• Accompany individuals to community integration activities.
• Complete all required documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Engage with individuals in home and community.
• Uphold rights and privacy; comply with HIPAA.
• Establish professional boundaries; maintain ethical interactions.
• DSPs are mandated reporters for abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
• Administer prescribed medications after completion of training.
• Be proficient with technology.
• Remain awake and alert during all shifts.
• Perform physical tasks (lifting, transfers).
• Other duties as assigned.
