Job summary

Chimes is a mission-driven nonprofit that hires Direct Support Professionals to empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity, independence, and confidence in a supportive team.

You will provide hands-on support, assist with personal care, follow care plans, document progress, administer medications, maintain safety, and help with community engagement. Some roles may involve travel between programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in disability services preferred but training is provided.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with driving record requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications per policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Some DSP roles may require travel between Residential and Day programs.
