Job summary

WellLife Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Brooklyn to provide hands-on care, advocacy, and daily living support for individuals with developmental disabilities. The role focuses on promoting independence and community integration through compassionate, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency diploma required.
• Experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental or behavioral health disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help with meal preparation, household chores, and maintaining a safe home environment.
• Administer medications as directed.
• Support individuals in medical appointments and following treatment plans.
• Assist with walking, transfers, and mobility aids; ensure safe navigation.
• Plan and participate in recreational, educational, and social activities.
• Advocate for needs, rights, and access to services.
• Maintain accurate daily notes, progress reports, incident reports and other documentation in electronic systems.
