Job summary

Bridgewell seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with developmental and psychiatric disabilities in daily living activities within residential and community settings. This role involves providing guided support, supervising activities, and maintaining documentation for compliance with DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and Bridgewell policies.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with 1 year of relevant experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 5+ years of verified experience in the same position is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assist people in our services with skills training in activities of daily living during the day, evening and/or overnight hours.
• Create opportunities to help people make decisions and develop independence.
• Provide services to people in our services according to regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies.
• Assist people with medical, clinical and financial needs.
• Transport and accompany people to activities and appointments as needed.
• Maintain daily progress notes, shift checklists and documentation as required.
• Complete household cleaning duties as assigned.
• Conduct steady care calls for awake overnight shifts.
