Job summary

Venture Community Services seeks a Direct Support Professional to empower adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities to participate fully in their lives. You will support daily living, independence, and community involvement in a compassionate, person‑centered approach.

The role includes paid training, a set schedule, and a $1,000 sign‑on bonus for full‑time staff (or $500 for part‑time). Pay ranges from $17.50 to $19.00 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or G.E.D. required.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for and support adults 22+ with IDD to be active in daily life.
• Assist with household tasks, meal prep, shopping, and personal care.
• Accompany to medical appointments and community activities; follow plans and medication administration as needed.
• Maintain certifications and comply with agency policies.
