Job summary

Venture Community Services in Massachusetts is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role features a 28-hour full-time schedule, paid training, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus for full-time staff.

The DSP will assist with daily living activities, accompany clients to appointments, and help implement support plans in the community and at home.

Qualifications

• Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community.
• Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer or school history).
• Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team.
• Speak, read, and write fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for and support adults 22+ with IDD to be active in their lives.
• Assist with household tasks, meal prep, shopping, hygiene, and daily living.
• Accompany to medical appointments, banking, and community activities.
• Follow Behavior Support Plans and Individual Support Plans.
