Job summary

Achieva is seeking Direct Support Professionals to support people with disabilities in achieving independence and daily living goals. You will promote health, safety, and meaningful community engagement with a focus on dignity and choice.

The role includes assisting with personal care, budgeting, and attending appointments; opportunities exist to advance via NADSP certifications with pay increases and potential supervisor pathways.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License required.
• Clearances (Act 33/Act 34 and FBI) required.
• CPR certification within six months of start date and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Supports individuals in leading meaningful lives through community and personal engagement.
• Assists with personal care tasks such as bathing, laundry, meals, and medication administration.
• Promotes independence through budgeting, home management, and daily living skills.
• Accompanies individuals to appointments, activities, and events.
• Documents progress and concerns according to program standards.

Education
