Job summary

Achieva in Greensburg, PA is seeking Direct Support Professionals to promote health, safety, and independence for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living, accompany to appointments, and document progress in accordance with program standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, PA driver’s license, background clearances (Act 33/34 and FBI), CPR within six months, and 1 year of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One (1) year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to safely perform one-person physical transfers.
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License required.
• Background checks: Act 33, Act 34, FBI background check.
• CPR certification within six months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Supports individuals in daily living, community engagement, and personal development.
• Assists with personal care tasks (bathing, laundry, meals) and medication administration.
• Promotes independence through budgeting, home management, and daily living skills.
• Accompanies individuals to appointments, activities, and community events.
• Documents progress, successes, and concerns per program standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
