Job summary

Achieva in Latrobe, PA is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to promote health, safety and independence for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, community engagement, and personal growth within a caring, values-driven team.

This full-time, hourly role offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus, competitive benefits, and clear career pathways with wage increases tied to NADSP certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to safely perform one-person transfers.
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License required.
• Must obtain CPR certification within six months of start date and complete training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Promotes health, safety, and well-being of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Supports daily living activities and community engagement.
• Assists with personal care tasks: bathing, laundry, meal prep, and medication administration.
• Promotes independence with budgeting, home management, and daily living skills.
• Accompanies individuals to appointments, activities, and community events.
• Documents progress, successes, and concerns per program standards.
