Venture Community Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower adults with disabilities through hands-on support, advocacy, and community participation. This full-time position offers paid training and a sign-on bonus for eligible staff.

The role includes assisting with daily living tasks, transportation, and attendance at medical or community activities, while adhering to care plans and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Commitment to helping people with varying disabilities participate fully in their community.
• Reliable, conscientious, and team-oriented work history (work, volunteer, or school).
• Able to speak, read, and write in fluent English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including holidays, overnights, or double-shifts.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities and support daily living tasks.
• Assist with household chores, meal prep, shopping, appointments, and community activities.
• Follow Behavior Support Plans and Individual Support Plans and medical guidelines.
• Support safe transportation, emergency evacuation, and program compliance.
