Job summary

Abound Health in Knightdale, NC seeks Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to empower individuals with IDD through daily living support, ADLs, and community participation. You will help clients live independently with compassion and reliability, building trust and promoting independence.

This role offers flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid onboarding and training, and opportunities for career growth. A $1,000 signing bonus is awarded after meeting hours benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal background checks, driving record checks, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound Health team members, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Complete ongoing training and professional development.
