Job summary

Abound Health in Pittsboro, NC is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). DSPs assist with ADLs, community participation and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Paid training, weekly pay and a $1,000 signing bonus are offered. Starting pay is $15.40 per hour with a signing bonus paid in installments when averaging 20+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Willingness to provide personal care when needed.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, hygiene and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development.
