The Chimes, Inc. in Maryland is seeking a dedicated residential caregiver to provide personal support in the home and in the community.

You will supervise adults with developmental disabilities, ensuring programs are followed and goals pursued, while keeping the living environment personalized and safe. Responsibilities include teaching independence, assisting with daily living tasks, administering medications per PMOF, and coordinating with program staff.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with intellectual disabilities and helping others.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Must have a driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to lift, pull and push 50+ pounds.

Mansioni

• Provide personal support in the residence and engage with the person served to carry out programs in home and community.
• Supervise and train adults with developmental disabilities to promote growth toward their goals.
• Ensure the house is personalized to each person's preferences.
• Teach individuals to do as much as possible for themselves per program plans.
• Communicate with day program staff about the individual's program.
• Administer correct medications per PMOF and MAR with three-way checks.
• Transport persons served to appointments and activities.
• Attend scheduled meetings with the Program Manager.
