Job summary

Chimes in Baltimore seeks a dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide in-home and community-based support for individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges. You will deliver person-centered services, assist with daily living activities, and help residents achieve their goals within individualized plans.

Responsibilities include medication administration under physician orders, crisis intervention as needed, and collaboration with the care team to ensure safety and progress.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work in the residence of a person served as personal support and engage with them daily.
• Supervise and train adults with developmental disabilities to promote growth toward goals.
• Ensure the house is personalized to each person's preferences and personality.
• Teach individuals to do as much as possible for themselves per program plans.
• Transport persons served to appointments, activities, and community outings.
• Communicate medical concerns to the Registered Nurse and supervisor in a timely manner.
