Job summary

The Chimes, Inc. is seeking dedicated direct support professionals in Baltimore, MD to provide personal care and support in the residence and community.

You will engage with individuals served, help implement their plans, and promote independent living skills while ensuring safety and dignity. Responsibilities include medication administration per orders, supervision, and collaboration with program staff; flex schedules including nights and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Adherence to agency policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal support in the residence and engage with the person served in daily activities.
• Supervise and train adults with developmental disabilities to promote growth per individual plans.
• Ensure the house is personalized to each person's preferences.
• Teach independence in daily tasks and minimize personal cell phone use during work.
• Communicate with day program staff about individual plans.
• Follow approved behavior plans to support progress toward goals.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the home and persons served.
• Transport persons served to appointments and community activities.
• Monitor medication administration per PMOF and MAR.
• Attend meetings and participate in ongoing training.
