Almost Family – Douglas/Coos County is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join a client-focused team providing compassionate care to individuals with I/DD. You will support daily living activities and help clients engage in community events, social activities, and volunteer work.

You’ll assist with ADLs, transportation, home tasks, and life-skills development, while promoting independence and dignity in a forgiving, supportive environment.

Qualificações

• 18+ years old
• 1+ year supporting someone with I/DD (professional or personal)
• Ability to work weekends (Sat and Sun)
• Flexibility is mandatory
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality
• Team player who can work independently

Responsabilidades

• Provide attendant care and relief care; help clients engage in community activities
• Support Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) across physical, emotional, behavioral, and communication needs
• Provide transportation for medical appointments, errands, and outings
• Assist with household tasks and home management
• Encourage life skills and independence; promote positive self-esteem
• Follow client care plans and maintain accurate documentation
• Cherish and support the mission of helping individuals live life to their fullest potential
