Job summary

Almost Family – Douglas/Coos County, Oregon, is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide attentive care to individuals with I/DD. You’ll assist with ADLs, transport, and community activities, while following individualized care plans and documenting outcomes.

You’ll join a caring, team-oriented environment with paid training, flexible schedules, and a focus on independence and quality of life for clients.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old
• 1+ year supporting someone with I/DD (professional or personal)
• Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
• Flexibility is mandatory
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality
• A team player who also thrives working independently

Responsibilities

• Provide attendant care and relief care to clients
• Help clients engage in community activities
• Support Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Provide transportation for medical appointments and errands
• Assist with household tasks and home management
• Encourage life skills and independence
• Promote positive self-esteem and build meaningful relationships
• Follow care plans and maintain documentation
• Support the mission of helping individuals live to their fullest potential
