Qualifications

• Must read and write proficiently in English.
• Complete Direct Care Worker Competency evaluation.
• Current CPR card.
• Health screening per state regulations.
• Provide PA license/certifications listed above.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client health, wellness and safety.
• Encourage goals related to independent living and daily activities.
• Crisis prevention and intervention.
• Promote advocacy and rights of the individual.
• Document client status, interactions and behaviors clearly.
• Implement behavior support plans as appropriate.
• Report suspected abuse or neglect immediately.
• Utilize prompting, instruction and reinforcement for person-centered services.
• Promote independence in daily living, work and learning.
• Provide transportation as needed.
• Complete required annual trainings to maintain certifications.
