Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them achieve personal goals and improve quality of life. Role includes daily living support, mobility assistance, and community participation, with emphasis on safety and progress documentation.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to document progress clearly.
• Proficient in English; able to communicate with clients and care team.
• Active driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• NCI/CPI training completed or willing to obtain.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal prep, and household chores.
• May transport clients to and from community activities.
• Support individuals in achieving developmental goals and fostering independence.
• Encourage community participation and accompany individuals on outings and social activities.
• Document observations and progress on goals; maintain a safe environment for clients.
