Qualifications

• Must read and write proficiently in English.
• Successful completion of Direct Care Worker Competency evaluation.
• Current CPR card.
• Current health screening as per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client health, wellness, and safety.
• Support learning and independence in activities of daily living.
• Crisis prevention and intervention.
• Document client status and progress accurately and promptly.
• Implement behavior support plans safely and effectively.
• Report suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation immediately.
• Provide person-centered services using prompts, instruction, modeling, and reinforcement.
• Promote independence in daily living, work/volunteer, learning, and leisure.
• Provide transportation as needed.
• Complete annual trainings to maintain certifications.
