Job summary

WellLife Network is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide hands-on care, advocacy, and support for individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. You will assist with daily living, administer medications, and help maintain safe, supportive environments.

Role emphasizes communication, collaboration with healthcare teams, and documentation of progress in electronic systems. A High School Diploma is required; English fluency is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency is required.
• Fluent in English for client communication.
• New York State driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Experience with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals you support.
• Assist with activities of daily living, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Administer medications as directed and help with medical appointments.
• Assist with mobility and safe navigation of environments.
• Support behaviors with respectful strategies and encourage independence.
• Plan and participate in recreational, educational, and social activities.
• Assist with communication tools and advocate for needs and access to services.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in electronic systems.
