Job summary

WellLife Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals in our programs. You will help with daily living activities, meals, and creating a safe home environment in collaboration with a supportive team.

The role emphasizes communication, empathy, and patient, respectful engagement, with opportunities to grow through training and development. This on-site position benefits from robust healthcare and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• Fluent in English for client communication.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License with at least 2 years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals you support.
• Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help with meal preparation and household chores.
• Administer medications as directed.
• Support individuals at medical appointments and with treatment plans.
• Assist with walking, transfers, and mobility aids.
• Plan and participate in recreational, educational, and social activities.
• Advocate for needs, rights, and access to services.
• Maintain accurate records including daily notes and progress reports.
