Job summary

WellLife Network in New York seeks Direct Support Professionals to provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will support daily living, help people pursue goals, and build community connections to promote independence. We value compassion and patience.

Candidates must have a high school diploma and be fluent in English. A New York State driver’s license with at least two years of driving experience is required for driving positions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency diploma (required).
• Fluent in English for client communication.
• A NYS driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience (required for driving positions).
• Comfort operating a large vehicle (for driving positions).
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs (preferred).
• Patience, compassion, and dedication to empowering others.

Responsibilities

• As a Direct Support Professional, provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals you support.
• Assist with daily living activities and help build community connections to promote independence.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and team members for holistic care.
• Maintain accurate daily notes, progress reports, and incident documentation in electronic systems.
