Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and community settings in North Carolina. You will assist with daily living tasks, personal care, meal preparation, and documentation to help clients achieve their goals with compassion and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience: entry-level, on-the-job training provided.
• Education: high school diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge: basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in clients' homes and community settings.
• Assist with daily living tasks including housekeeping, meal prep, cooking, and personal care.
• Transport clients to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Help plan and organize clients' schedules.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the health system.
