Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in North Carolina is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with IDD or MH in home and community settings. You will support daily living tasks, promote meaningful activities, and document care in the health system.

The role requires a willingness to work in home settings, maintain a good driving record, and complete required trainings. This position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• 1 year of direct care experience, personal care and/or CNA preferred.
• Must complete and maintain our training curriculum including CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, and core trainings.
• Willingness to work in community settings and in clients' homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home and community settings where the client lives.
• Assist with housekeeping, meals, personal care, and employment support.
• Transport clients to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Plan and organize the client’s schedule and document daily in the health system.
