Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in North Carolina to assist individuals with IDD in home and community settings. You will support daily living tasks, personal care, and scheduling while documenting care in our health records system.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic housekeeping, nutrition, and safety knowledge.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail and dependability are a must.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or the ability to learn quickly; reliable transportation with a valid license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home or community setting.
• Assist with tasks such as housekeeping, meals, bathing, dressing, and toiletry.
• Transport the client to appointments and run errands.
• Help plan and organize the client's schedule.
• Document daily care in the electronic health record.
