Job summary

Harry Meyering Center, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in their homes and the community.

You'll help individuals reach personal goals, promote independence, and build meaningful relationships while gaining experience in the human services field. Competitive wage of $18.00 per hour with full-time and part-time options, plus paid training, benefits, overtime pay, and flexible scheduling across North Mankato,

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver\'s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must pass MN DHS Background Study.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to learn; no prior experience required.
• Preferred experience: CNA, PCA, DSP, caregiver, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, individualized care.
• Assist with personal cares (dressing, bathing, feeding, etc.).
• Support daily living activities (cooking, cleaning, laundry).
• Participate in community outings (bowling, shopping, movies, exercise).
• Follow health, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Complete documentation and other assigned tasks.

Direct Support Professional

Job Purpose

Make a difference every day as a Direct Support Professional. You'll assist individuals in reaching their personal goals, encourage greater independence, and provide support both in the home and throughout the community. Along the way, you'll build meaningful relationships while gaining valuable experience in the human services field.

Wage

$18.00 per hour for full-time and part-time employees.

Location

Multiple locations in North Mankato, Mankato, and Eagle Lake.

Schedules Available

• 8–40 hours per week
• Mornings, evenings, or overnights
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday/fill‑in opportunities
• Flexible scheduling
