Job summary

The Arc Carroll County is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our Community Living team in Taneytown, MD. You will work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a small, home-like setting, supporting daily living activities, skills, and routines to help each resident thrive.

Responsibilities include personal care assistance, meal planning, medication administration as needed, and safe transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with no more than 2 current points on record.
• Intermediate computer and keyboarding skills; ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Clean drug screen and criminal record.
• Completion of CPR, First Aid, Certified Medication Technician, and other trainings mandated by the DD Administration and The Arc.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities in life skills and household tasks (meal planning and preparation, laundry, light housework).
• Assist with personal care and administer medications as needed.
• Provide transportation as needed and work as part of a team in a small residential home setting.
