Job summary

The Arc Montgomery County is hiring a Direct Support Professional-CLS in Derwood, MD for weekend hours. This role supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting independence and community engagement while ensuring safety and personal well‑being.

You will provide hands‑on assistance with daily living, encourage participation in community activities, and uphold the rights and choices of the people we support. This is a part‑time position.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED (or be 18+ with 1 year experience).
• Valid US driver’s license required.
• Effective verbal & written communication and computer skills.
• Ability to read and write fluently in English; understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provide supports to promote and empower people in Inclusive Living Services.
• Ensure safety and well-being; assist with living skills and daily tasks.
• Create a safe living environment; supervise and help manage homes.
• Help individuals participate in community activities and make choices.
