Job summary

CHESCO Services in Hopkins, SC seeks a DSP-R full-time 1st shift to provide direct care and training to consumers in a community residence. You will implement training goals, collect data, and counsel residents as needed.

This role requires First Aid, CPR, CPI certifications, TB test annually, a valid SC driver's license, and ability to operate a 15-passenger vehicle. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team and may rotate shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must acquire and maintain First Aid, CPR, CPR CPI certifications.
• Subject to annual TB test.
• Valid Driver's license from state of residence and ability to operate a 15 passengers or less vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and training to consumers in community residence according to local, state and federal guidelines.
• Implements training goals and collects data.
• Counsels consumers as necessary.
• Administers medications to residents within CHESCO Services medication administration guidelines.
• Maintains accountability for all consumers within the assigned setting and demonstrates knowledge of consumers' actions.
• Ensures consumers' needs are met through goals, hygiene, social adjustment, and activities.
• Performs daily paperwork and data recording as required.
• Transport consumers as needed.
