Job summary

CHESCO Services in Columbia, SC seeks a DSP-R for a part-time third shift, including every other weekend. You will provide direct care and training to consumers in a community residence, following local, state, and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities include training goal implementation, data collection, and counseling as needed. Additional duties include administering medications, completing required DSP paperwork, maintaining unit cleanliness, and coordinating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Acquire and maintain certification in First Aid, CPR, and CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention).
• Subject to annual TB test. Valid driver’s license from state of residence and ability to operate a vehicle for 15 passengers or less.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and training to consumers in community residence according to local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Implements training goals and collects data; counsels consumers as necessary.
• Administer medications to residents following CHESCO Services guidelines.
• Perform DSP paperwork: daily log, activity schedules, and progress notes.
• Maintain unit cleanliness and supervise chores, cooking, and laundry.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provide information for evaluation.
• Transport consumers as needed and conduct monthly fire drills.
