Job summary

CHESCO Services in Columbia, SC seeks a part-time DSP-R on the 1st shift every other weekend to provide direct care and training to consumers in community residence. You will implement training goals, collect data, counsel consumers, and assist with daily living activities, behavior management, and emergency procedures in accordance with guidelines.

Role requires a high school diploma, CPI training, and a valid driver's license, with responsibilities spanning documentation, medication

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and CPI required; TB test annually.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle for 15 passengers or less.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for all consumers within the assigned setting.
• Implements goals, behavior management, personal hygiene, and social activities.
• Reports and documents progress notes, data, and inventories as needed.
• Administers medications according to CHESCO Services guidelines.
• Performs paperwork: daily logs, schedules, and other required forms.
• Assist with house duties: cleaning, cooking, laundry, groceries.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and program evaluations.
• Provides coverage for other shifts and community programs as required.
• Transports consumers as needed and conducts monthly drills.
