Job summary

ICM is seeking a compassionate care aide to support clients in Lavaca, Arkansas with daily living activities and companionship. The role includes assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, meal planning, and transportation to appointments, while promoting safety at home.

Documentation of shift activities, adherence to HIPAA, SOPs, and strong communication are essential to improve quality of life and integration into the community.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to meet position education requirements.
• Understand HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and SOPs and ask for clarification when needed.
• Prompt and regular attendance is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal planning.
• Assist with daily activities and medication administration as directed.
• Arrange transportation and accompany customers to appointments.
• Observe conditions and ensure safety; monitor equipment as needed.
• Provide written daily updates of each shift’s activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned; uphold quality decision making and communication.

Job description

• Providing quality care, direction, guidance, and help to customers with daily activities, such as bathing and bathroomfunctions, feeding, planning menus, dressing, grooming, taking medication and/or administering treatments, and housework.
• Help customers make and keep appointments, provide or arrange transportation to run errands and serve as a companion
• Help customer achieve agreed-upon goals to improve quality of life and integration into the community
• Provide written daily updates of each shift’s activities using an online platform
• Observe the customer’s condition and monitor the surroundings to ensure customer safety and success. This includes monitoring of equipment and materials
