Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Direct Support Professional II at the El Paso State Supported Living Center. This role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across morning, evening, and night shifts.

The DSP II provides direct care, life-skills training, and supervision in a team setting. Candidates should have a High School diploma, be able to communicate in English, and be willing to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and follow instructions.
• Ability to work in a team and handle emergencies calmly.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct care and support services to individuals.
• Observe and report changes in individuals’ condition and behaviors.
• Teach life skills such as feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Participate in individual treatment plans and training programs.
• May train/mentor new DSP staff and serve as shift lead.
