Job summary

Bridgewell in Massachusetts seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with developmental and other disabilities in residential settings. You will provide daily living support, advocacy, and skills training to promote independence.

Responsibilities include documentation, medication administration per MAP, and community transportation. The role requires teamwork, safety awareness, and commitment to Bridgewell's mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 5+ years in the same role.
• At least 1 year experience with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license and ability to drive a van.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living skills training and support across shifts.
• Foster independence and decision-making for participants.
• Adhere to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF standards and Bridgewell policies.
• Support medical, clinical, and financial needs of participants.
• Transport participants to activities and appointments as needed.
• Maintain progress notes, checklists, and shift documentation.
• Perform housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Conduct steady care calls for awake overnight shifts.
• Help access community resources and recreation.
• Administer medications per MAP regulations when required.
• Maintain training certifications such as FA/CPR, PABC, MAP.
• Attend program meetings and supervision sessions.
• Other duties as assigned.
