Job summary

Avenues to Independent Living in Woodbury, NJ seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence and quality of life.

You will support clients with daily living tasks, accompany them to medical appointments, and help them participate in community activities, aiming for meaningful outcomes and personal growth every day.

Qualifications

• Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Have a current Driver’s License in good standing with proof of registration & insurance.
• Be compassionate and understanding.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with living skills such as shopping, transportation, hygiene, cooking, and cleaning.
• Support clients in community experiences and at social events.
• Accompany and support individuals in medical appointments.
• Support clients in achieving the goals they have set.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Program Director or Manager.
