Job summary

WE SUPPORT YOU LLC in Rahway, NJ is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide direct care and daily living support for individuals with IDD. You will implement ISPs, document progress, and accompany clients to community activities while promoting independence and community inclusion.

The role emphasizes patient, empathetic, person-centered care and requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass background checks and screenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with IDD.
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress.
