Job summary

WE SUPPORT YOU LLC is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our Little Ferry, NJ team. You will provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with disabilities, helping with personal care, meals, and household tasks in a person-centered, respectful environment.

Working closely with ISPs, you will document progress, coordinate transportation to appointments and community activities, and support skill-building to promote independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, home health aide, or in a related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to person-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Implement ISPs and document progress accurately.
• Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and recreational outings.
• Encourage skill-building and promote independence in daily activities.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members.
• Respond appropriately to behavioral challenges using approved techniques and protocols.
