Job summary

National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, seeks a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to drive growth by acquiring new business, cross-selling, and building relationships in local markets. You will sell to customers in person and by phone, nurture a strong pipeline, and partner with leadership on community marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: 0 – 2 years of experience
• P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline, including local lead generation and referrals
• Develop relationships within the community (e.g., dealerships, events, local partners) to support business growth
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales
• Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition
• Deliver results aligned with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations
