Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: Associate's degree and 2 years of experience OR equivalent combination of 4 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
  • License/Certification: Valid driver’s license or access to transportation
  • Must be able to travel up to 50 miles for assignment or training
  • Trainee Option: Not applicable
  • Preferred qualifications include strong verbal and written communication, ability to work with diverse clients, and computer proficiency (Word, Internet, email).

Responsibilities

  • Assesses needs and certifies eligibility for state and federal public assistance programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, Child Care, and Long Term Care.
  • Conducts interviews with applicants and current clients to determine eligibility and ensure timely decisions.
  • Uses NH HEIGHTS and other state systems to verify information and process cases.
  • Mentors staff and participates in projects and training as needed.
  • Provides customer service and information to diverse populations and partners.
