Job summary

ExpertCare in Southeast Michigan is seeking a Direct Care Worker to provide one-to-one support in clients' homes, assisting with daily activities and skill-building opportunities.

You will work with recipients to encourage independence, accompany them to community activities, and help achieve personal goals. Full and part-time positions are available with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and dependable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans
• Comfortable supporting individuals with varying abilities
• Reliable transportation to and from assignments
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings
• Must be 18 years or older

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with recipients in clients' homes, providing support and companionship
• Support, encourage and help with skill-building activities
• Bring recipients into the community to help grow personal goals outside the home environment
