Direct Care Professionals – Part Time Evenings

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour; $21.00 per hour after one year of benefit eligible employment.

Schedule: Saturday 12:00 pm–11:00 pm, Tuesday 3:00 pm–8:00 pm, Wednesday 3:00 pm–8:00 pm.

Responsibilities

You will be part of a team supporting adults with developmental disabilities in a residential program. Direct care professionals provide assistance with daily activities and ensure a structured routine that includes:

• Individual community outings
• Meal preparation
• Assistance with activities of daily living
• Personal care
• Medical appointments
• Medication distribution

Community Outings

As a direct care professional, you will provide opportunities for individuals to integrate into the community and enjoy outings that interest them. Examples include:

• The movies
• Shopping
• Going to dinner
• Baseball game
• Bowling

Qualifications

• Compassionate person who enjoys making a difference in someone’s life
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Qualifying criminal background check and driving record
• Valid driver’s license; use of personal vehicle
• TB screening and physical required upon hire; TB update every two years thereafter
• Students in human services, psychology, or sociology programs encouraged to apply (tuition assistance available)
• Interest in CNA, PCA, and HHA type work encouraged
