Job summary

The University of Georgia in Athens seeks a Dining Commons Assistant Manager within Dining Services to oversee food production and service in a large dining facility. You will support the Dining Commons Manager in planning, staffing, scheduling, and ensuring smooth operations during meals.

This role requires leadership, strong knowledge of food service sanitation, and the ability to supervise a diverse staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 8 years related experience.
• Strong knowledge of food service operations and staff supervision.
• Familiar with sanitation, health and safety requirements.
• Basic PC and/or food production software knowledge.
• Able to supervise diverse staff and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overall operation as manager directs.
• Plan, organize and direct Dining Services personnel in food production and services.
• Assist in scheduling employees, open/closing procedures, interviewing and hiring.
• Assist in conducting regular sanitation inspection program.
