Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living is seeking a Dining Services Manager for our Colorado location. The role oversees dining operations, ensures nutrition and safety standards, and manages budgeting, staffing, and training of the dining services team.

Responsibilities include menu planning, cost control, inventory management, and delivering nutrition education to residents. Strong ServSafe and food-service certifications are required, with CSC preferred; occasional travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2–4 years in commercial kitchen, operation, line cooking, and/or training or equivalent.
• Current ServSafe Certification required; state food service certification may be required; ACF CSC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and oversees dining services standards.
• Maintains quality dining within budget.
• Plans menus and controls food costs; may prep meals.
• Oversees food preparation to ensure procedures are followed.
• Inspects work areas for safety and sanitation.
• Prepares cleaning schedule, production worksheet, and staff schedules.
• Maintains inventory of food and nonfood items.
• Trains new employees; delegates duties for efficient flow.
• Develops cost-control system; submits department budget.
• Provides nutrition education to residents; education program delivery.
• Ensures safe work procedures and infection-control practices.
